The Finale

Before starting typing on a blog post, I usually have decided for a fitting title. But not for this one. It's quite hard to decide when you're not exactly sure on what you really want to convey.


Okay, I just decided on the title. Anyway, today November 16, 2012 our Web Design Class has officially ended. Unlike when I'm working on a project at work, this 'Finale' didn't cause any stress.

There were some circumstances happened at work this afternoon which made me go under time and go to class earlier than usual. When I arrive there, I tried to finish my assignment(PSD to HTML/CSS conversion). Before 7pm, Sir Glenn started discussing about Web Hosting and FTP. Most of us were quite relax during the class. It has ended around 8:30pm. We then took some photos together.

Overall, from Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver to HTML/CSS plus Web Hosting, little bit of SEO and FTP, I'd say the class was quite good. Sir Glenn is generous and easy to talk with. He's not the type who selfishly keep their knowledge. If he knows something, he will tell us. He sometimes even share some of his experience with his clients which are really helpful because it gives us an idea on how to deal with clients. Another thing that I like about the class is that it tackles HTML5 which I didn't really expect because normally school's module are not that updated.

I would to suggest though that if you wanted to take any short courses or training, it would be nice if you have studied in advance about the subject. It will help you understand the professor when he talks about the tools/techniques, and you can ask some questions later on.

When the class has ended we shared our emails and phone numbers and said goodbyes. No, not really goodbye, it was just nice to read when I use that line hehe I selfishly took Revon for a coffee and brownies and shared some story, dreams and value. I feel comfortable with him, though we didn't really a chance to talk for more than an hour, because we usually go home after class. We shared some ideas and dreams we have in common especially about dogs and having our own subdivision and businesses. Although most of the time, I was the one who did all the talking, it still feels good that he patiently listens. I always feel good when I talk to my new found - web design friends.

We still need to go back on Monday at school to copy some exercises, for us to practice and for our certificates of course. ;) It would be nice if we could all see each other and talk about our ideas soon.

And yes, just like how fitting my blog title seems to me, and the coffee with the brownies. I think I just found another perfect person to talk with :)
