To a friend

It's almost 3 at the afternoon now. I was reading the email that was sent earlier from one of my closest friend who recently resigned from his position as a marketing editor in our company.

It's quite amazing how he always entertain us. He always have this aura that would make you feel important whenever you are with him. My colleagues are laughing while talking about his email. He never stop entertaining us even if he's not in the office anymore.

Last night, we went to McDonald's and chatted. I wanted to talk to him more, just to savour the time that’s left for I know I’m not going to see him the next day. Eventually I got sleepy though and decided to go home around 10:30pm.

I saw my mom watching TV when I arrive home. I talk to her about my close friend. I told her that I was more attached to him now compared to my best friend. Mom said it was probably because I spent more time with him. But I guess it's not because of the time, but because of the difference between him and my best friend and I am more confident that my best friend will always be there.

I can still remember the first day when I saw him. He really looked so strict and probably one of those people I hate to mingle with.
Later on, we became closer; at least I feel like we are haha. We usually eat together during lunch and dinner talk about our likes and dislikes. We usually have different opinions but he never fails to listen to my own. I have always been emotional, too emotional in fact, but he was always been logical, yet considerate. There are times when he will nag me about something yet it doesn’t feel like he is nagging at all. I know that he won't get irritated to those people he doesn’t care. And if he's angry about something it simply means to me that he cares. It makes me interested about the things that he is passionate about. And most of all probably one of the things that makes people like him is that he knows what secrecy and friendship means and of course, he is fun to be with.

Sometimes I envy how he calmly handles intense conversation.
How he can still think properly when things are getting too complicated.
How he can eat too much after having a dinner.
How he can buy expensive shoes even though he just bought a new one.
How he can correct someone without them making feel like they have been corrected.
I always think that he can manage people, intelligently.
Most of all, how he always face life with confidence.

It's 3pm now, time for exercise. I miss how he laughs at me when I couldn't properly execute the steps and my colleagues when they are too serious about it.

I am sure that he have greatly influence not just my life, but all those people that he have met and for those lucky people he will meet in the future.
